What would you do for some award-winning Peak District gin and luxury chocolates?
If your answer is 'pretty much anything' then we've got the trail race for you.

We've crafted both our Short (10km) and Long (17km) routes to take you on an adventure from the serenity of Errwood Reservoir to the wild and wonderful home of the award-winning Forest Distillery in the iconic Cat & Fiddle Inn.

At the Inn, our route leads you in the back door where you'll receive a jolly welcome from your race crew who will have VIP access to the bar, before you're sent back out to drink-in some of the most stunning and far reaching views the Peak District has to serve up. At the finish line, to lift your spirits, you'll receive a pre-mixed can from the Forest Distillery and a selection of luxury chocolates from Buxton's very own Hot Chocolaterie.

By entering this Trails For Good race, you'll be supporting local food and drink producers as well as
local trail repair and nature regeneration through our partnership with the Peak District Foundation.

For TRA races, to count as an affiliated entrant, you only need to be a member of an affiliated UK Athletics club, you do not need to be registered with England Athletics.

To enter this event you must be aged 18 or over on the 18th of September 2026. This is to comply with the UK Athletics rules for competition.

On the morning of the race, you must visit Errwood Sailing Club (SK17 6GJ) between 08:00 and 09:10 to complete kit check and to collect your bib and timing equipment. We recommend parking in 'The Street' car park and walking the 5-minutes to the sailing club. It is then a 7-8 minute walk to the start line.

All runners will be required to carry the below mandatory kit. Failure to present any of the items during kit check in registration or to marshals on course will result in instant disqualification from the event without refund. This is for your safety along with that of our event staff and other runners.

Waterproof jacket - with taped seams and integrated attached hood
Waterproof trousers - with taped seams
Suitable off-road running shoes - fell/trail shoes
Hat/buff and gloves (head and hand cover)
Spare dry long-sleeve layer
Sufficient nutrition for the race plus an emergency 500 calories

Foil blanket/emergency shelter
Fully charged mobile telephone in a waterproof case (or waterproof phone)
Drinking water (minimum 500ml filled at start)
Reusable race cup or bottle
Whistle
A GPS device with the route downloaded (i.e. watch, phone or similar), or a map & compass with the route marked.

Weather permitting, we may inform you of a reduction to this kit list in registration on race day, but please assume the full list will be required to avoid disappointment.
